Vegan Restaurateurs With Broadway Eatery Open a Ballpark Pizza Parlor
Since the pandemic struck, Sam and Tricia Maher have wanted to start a takeaway and delivery-friendly business.

But the Mahers are now prepared. They debuted Everyday Pizza on Tuesday in the Ballpark neighbourhood at 2162 Larimer St., which serves vegan pizza.
Sam added, "Somebody People is more of a passion endeavour. "My ideal restaurant came into clear focus. However, Everyday Pizza is more of a shrewd business decision that will hopefully aid in building our brand.
Somebody People, a restaurant owned by Sydney, Australia natives The Mahers, opened its doors in 2019 at 1165 S. Broadway, on the first floor of the Windsor at Broadway Station apartment complex. Instead of using counterfeit meats on the menu, inventive vegetable-focused dishes are offered.
We typically choose the vegan option at a fantastic restaurant because Tricia and I eat vegan. "We wanted to design a restaurant with excellent service and a fantastic vegan menu that everybody can enjoy."
Everyday Pizza, on the other hand, offers vegan Neapolitan-style pies, including mushroom, corn, and tomato (with fresh tomatoes, garlic, and oregano) pizzas.
Farrow and other milled grains are used into the pizza dough. The "cheeses" are produced on-site using nuts.
Sam remarked, "We're trying to focus on putting local, fresh food on a pizza. "We're not attempting to imitate the typical vegan pizza that is already available. The pizza will only contain a variety of fresh veggies carefully chosen to produce some fantastic flavours, with no imitation meats.
The menu also includes homemade spaghetti, sorbet, and snacks. There is an Italian wine list as well as traditional cocktails such espresso martinis and the "Skin Flick" made with rum, peach, coconut, and mint as well as non-alcoholic "mocktails."
Sunday through Thursday, the restaurant is open from 5 to 10 p.m., and on Friday and Saturday, it stays up until midnight. In a few weeks, lunch will be included.
Along with its pastry chef Alicia Reyes, who formerly worked with pizza in Philadelphia, Somebody People's executive chef Art Burnayev has experience in New York pizza establishments.
Pizza is a food that we both enjoy, Tricia added.

Sam explained that because the vegan restaurant had too much individuality to duplicate, the couple decided to concentrate on pizza rather than opening a second Somebody People store.
Without the same individuals, he continued, "we wouldn't achieve the same result."
Turnover Darling, a restaurant serving American hand pies, moved into the new 2,200-square-foot location of Everyday Pizza in July 2021.
